Fans of the comedy franchise ‘Hera Pheri’ have been eagerly awaiting the next instalment which has been in the works for a few years now. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal began shooting for the Priyadarshan directorial in April this year. At a recent event, Shetty was asked if he would reunite with Akshay, who is currently being seen in ‘Kersari 2’ for a patriotic movie. The actor reacted stating that ‘Hera Pheri 3’ belonged to the same genre. “’Woh (‘Hera Pheri 3′) deshbhakti ki film hai! Yeh film desh ko khush rakh sakti hai.’ The problem with today’s children is that they are not mentally happy. ‘Hera Pheri’ should be watched so that everyone is at peace and mentally happy. ”Hera Pheri’ ke characters gareebi mein haste bhi hain aur logon ko hasate bhi hain.’ And if we get a partner like Babu Bhaiya, that is like icing on the cake!” shared the actor. This third instalment is expected to arrive 19 years after ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ (2006), with a probable release in 2026 or 2027.
