There’s a lot of buzz, but not much clarity around what Salman Khan’s next big cinematic outing will actually be. While Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Galwan’ is reportedly in the pipeline with Ladakh pencilled in for a month-long shoot, it seems Salman hasn’t fully locked in his creative direction. According to reports, he’s been in and out of meetings with filmmakers including several sit-downs with Mahesh Narayanan the Malayalam director known for his layered storytelling. Rumors suggest they’ve been tossing around ideas, one of which is a gritty period-action piece set between the ’70s and ’90s. Salman is said to be intrigued, but nothing’s been signed yet. Mahesh might return with a full narration soon although it’s unclear if that’ll seal the deal. Meanwhile, Kabir Khan’s name has also surfaced in the mix adding to the uncertainty. Whether ‘Galwan’ marks a new chapter or just another detour in Salman’s evolving lineup remains to be seen.
