The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon on November 24th with a U/A 16+ rating. The examining committee required three specific edits before approval. First, an obscene word appearing around the 27‑minute mark was replaced with a suitable alternative. Second, the mandatory anti‑smoking warning in Hindi was inserted to comply with statutory norms. Third, a visible liquor brand label was blurred to meet advertising restrictions. After these modifications, the film was officially certified. The censor certificate records its runtime at 169 minutes and 17 seconds, translating to 2 hours and 49 minutes. With these changes in place, the film was deemed fit for theatrical release under the U/A 16+ category.
