The much-anticipated sequel to Sridevi’s acclaimed film ‘Mom’ has officially gone into production nearly ten years after the original left audiences spellbound. The cameras are now rolling at Noida’s Film City with Jisshu Sengupta and Karishma Tanna already on the sets. The project is being helmed by Girish Kohli, the writer of the first instalment which promises to maintain the creative essence of the story. Producer Boney Kapoor had earlier spoken about his plans to extend the narrative even hinting at daughter Khushi Kapoor’s involvement. However, her participation remains uncertain in the latest update. ‘Mom’ continues to be remembered as Sridevi’s final cinematic outing which is celebrated for its gripping storyline and her unforgettable performance.
