The makers of ‘KD: The Devil’ have pulled down the Hindi track ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ after a wave of criticism and a formal complaint to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The song featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt and crooned by Mangli with lyrics by Raqueeb Aalam and music by Karan Janya was released online by KVN Productions in mid March. While versions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam remain accessible, the Hindi rendition quickly became the centre of controversy. Advocate Vineet Jindal petitioned the CBFC, arguing that the lyrics and visuals were offensive and unsafe for younger audiences. In the video, Nora Fatehi appears in a dance bar setting with Sanjay Dutt, surrounded by numerous dancers, delivering a performance that divided opinion. Some praised her energy, while others condemned the choreography and words as vulgar. The debate has added intensity to the anticipation surrounding the film, which is slated to arrive in theatres on April 30.
