Speculation around Akshay Kumar’s fee for ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ has finally been addressed by the actor himself. At the grand trailer launch in Mumbai, he clarified the rumors with a candid admission: “‘Jisne bhi aapse kaha ki maine 1.70 crore liya, utna bhi nahi liya.’ (Whoever told you that I received Rs 1.70 crore for the film, I didn’t even take that.).” Contrary to reports suggesting he pocketed Rs 1.70 to 1.80 crore along with a hefty profit share as large as 70 percent from profit-only, Akshay revealed that he chose not to charge any fee at all. The film, which marks the third chapter of the ‘Welcome’ franchise has already stirred excitement ahead of its release. The event itself was a star-studded affair with Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav and many others joining Akshay to celebrate the upcoming comedy spectacle.
