The actor received the National Award for Best Actor at the 72nd National Film Awards for his role in ‘Chandu Champion’ as he shared the honor with Mammootty for his performance in ‘Bramayugam’. To mark this achievement, Kartik chose a modest way to celebrate by visiting the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. On Monday, he posted photos on Instagram showing him in prayer wearing a light pink shirt with his hands clasped and a tilak on his forehead. His caption was brief, simply stating, “Jai Mahakal.” Another image showed him seated with his parents, participating in the Shayan Aarti with his hands folded. Following the ritual, he honored tradition by whispering his wishes into the ear of Nandi Maharaj before bowing at the shrine of Lord Mahakal and offering his prayers.
