Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan’s upcoming collaboration has been officially titled ‘Long Years Ago’, marking their third on-screen pairing after ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Ekalavya: The Royal Guard’. The film, helmed by ‘The Lunchbox’ director Ritesh Batra, delves into the complexities of family relationships and the communication barriers that arise between its members. In an exciting development, acclaimed French actress Melanie Laurent has reportedly joined the ensemble cast, adding international flavour to the project. Currently in production across Mumbai locations, the film is being produced by Batra and Adeel Ahmed under their Poetic Licence banner. The reuniting of Saif and Vidya comes after several years, with both actors having moved on to diverse roles – Saif recently wrapped ‘Haiwaan’ with Akshay Kumar, while Vidya starred opposite Rajinikanth in ‘Jailer 2’.
