An extortion call targeting actor Tusshar Kapoor recently came to light when someone claiming connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate called demanding Rs 5 crore. The actor promptly alerted law enforcement in Mumbai. Upon examining the evidence, Mumbai Police discovered troubling inconsistencies – the caller’s voice failed to correspond with authenticated recordings attributed to the supposed gang member Harry Boxer. This discrepancy led authorities to conclude the threat was fraudulent, likely perpetrated by an individual exploiting the notorious gang’s fearsome reputation to coerce payment. Efforts to apprehend the culprits are underway. The incident reflects a broader pattern of intimidation within the entertainment industry, as multiple A-list figures including Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, director Rohit Shetty and finally Tiger Shroff have previously experienced comparable intimidation and violence allegedly orchestrated by the same gang.
