Aamir Khan produced and Kiran Rao helmed social drama ‘Laapataa Ladies’ was submitted as India’s official entry for the 97th Academy Awards. Doing their bit to spread a word about the movie, the actor and his former wife were in New York. The film is being publicized as ‘Lost Ladies’ in the US and the duo were seen attending a special event for the movie in NYC. During their stay in NYC, Aamir and Kiran visited Indian restaurant The Bungalow in New York where they were seen interacting with chef and owner Vikas Khanna. ‘Laapataa Ladies’ talks about the issue of missing brides in the fictional state of Nirmal Pradesh. The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, Durgesh Kumar, Geeta Agarwal and Sparsh Shrivastav in pivotal roles.
