It was largely being reported that Aditya Chopra was contemplating merging his ‘Dhoom’ character of Jai Dixit played by Abhishek Bachchan, with Yash Raj Films’ (YRF’s) new spy universe that the production house is building. Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan are the actors roped-in so far by YRF while taking its spy universe ahead. Hence, rumours started surfacing that even Abhishek Bachchan will make it to this exclusive club which YRF’s head Aditya Chopra is creating. However, a source close to the development dismissed the rumors as just that, “You won’t see any characters from these universes to overlap in either franchise. Story-wise also it doesn’t make sense at all. All this talk that Jai Dixit will be seen in the YRF Spy Universe is completely baseless. No one from ‘Dhoom’ will be seen in the YRF Spy Universe and vice versa.” Salman Khan was seen doing a cameo in the recently released ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and the talks of Shah Rukh doing the same in the upcoming ‘Tiger 3’ are already doing the rounds.
