In another jolt to the industry, Akshay Kumar and Govinda tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend. First, the news of Akshay Kumar started doing the rounds, after which, Govinda too was confirmed positive and was quarantining at home. Breaking the news himself on Sunday, Akki said, “I wish to inform everyone that earlier this morning I tested positive for Covid-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action soon!” The ‘Ram Setu’ actor was later hospitalised “as a precautionary measure under medical advice”. It has also come to light that as many as 45 crew members of ‘Ram Setu’ tested positive and the film’s shoot has been halted.
