Akshay Kumar has signed up for a period drama with Yash Raj Films (YRF) and the actor is all set to play an iconic character from India’s history. Akki will essay the role of the king Prithviraj Chauhan and the film will trace the warrior’s epic journey as well as his love story with Sanyukta. YRF is planning to make the film on a grand scale with massive sets. The said project will be helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is known for acting and directing ‘Chanakya’ TV show. Akshay and YRF’s project will go on the floors only next year.
