Reports suggest that the makers’ disagreements over financial terms with the actor prompted his departure even as Ajay Devgn recently confirmed 2nd October 2026 as the film’s release date. Akshaye had joined the celebrated thriller series in 2022 with ‘Drishyam 2’ portraying IG Tarun Ahlawat, a character closely tied to Tabu’s Meera Deshmukh.
