Mumbai’s film industry got a jolt when reports surfaced of gunfire outside Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu. The incident unfolded past midnight, yet the filmmaker and his family escaped unharmed. Within hours, police tracked suspects to Pune and detained four individuals. A social media post by Shubham Lonkar, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi network, claimed involvement, though investigators remain uncertain about the motive. Authorities are examining the weapon used while simultaneously tightening security around Shetty. Protection has been expanded not only at his home but also on the upcoming sets of ‘Golmaal 5’. Nearly 60 personnel will guard the production site, combining official police presence with Shetty’s private team. Entry will be restricted to those carrying verified identification, including supporting actors, vendors and crew. The film originally scheduled to begin shooting in mid-February will now proceed under heightened vigilance and controlled access.
