Akshay Kumar is reportedly toying with the idea of turning his past hit films into multiple franchises. ‘Hera Pheri 3’, ‘Welcome 3’ and ‘Awara Pagal Deewana 2’, all offsprings of earlier Akshay Kumar hits may see the light of day in 2023. Akki is expected to team up with producer Firoz Nadiadwala in trying to churn out another set of hit comedies that the former requires at any cost. Recent releases stand testimony to the fact that Akshay hasn’t had the kind of success one expects, with ‘Cuttputlli’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and even ‘Bachchan Pandey’ flopping at the box office or on OTT. ‘Ram Setu’ has performed the best out of all his recent films.
