‘Chehre’ makers, director Rumy Jafry and producer Anand Pandit are touting the film as a mystery-thriller. Riding high on hopes with their storyline, the team wanted to release Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi-starrer in theatres first before hitting any OTT platform. Since the film is complete, ‘Chehre’ was scheduled to release on April 9th. But thanks to the rising Covid-19 cases in India, and more so in the Bollywood capitol Mumbai, it has been postponed. The new date to release ‘Chehre’ in theatres will now be decided soon. On delaying the film, Pandit says, “Considering the situation and safety of our audiences, we have decided to postpone ‘Chehre’. The team has taken immense efforts to make it a great cinematic experience and we are looking forward to our audiences thronging theatres safely.” Interestingly, ‘Chehre’ also stars late Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
