Akshay Kumar the action star of Bollywood, recently confessed how money was the driving factor and perhaps the only one for his career. “I was a martial arts trainer and barely made Rs 5,000 a month. But for a two-hour modelling assignment I earned Rs 12,000. That’s when I decided to start modelling and eventually landed up in films,” said Akshay at an event. Khiladi Kumar as he is fondly called after his action-packed films many whose titles had the word ‘Khiladi’ in them, has worked purely in action films for the first decade of his career in Bollywood, migrating gradually to romance and comedy with films like ‘Dhadkan’ and ‘Housefull’.
