Arijit Singh lost his mother Aditi Singh on Wednesday May 19th. Since the family wanted to keep it low-key, the news came out yesterday. She was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata during the end of April for Covid-related complications. Although Aditi had tested negative for Covid on May 17th, she succumbed to a cerebral stroke at 11 pm on Wednesday night. Her mortal remains were then taken to the family home in Jiaganj, Murshidabad in West Bengal. Reports suggest that Aditi Singh’s condition came into light when there was a shout out on various social media platforms requesting for blood donors. Arijit, being a famous Bollywood singer, requested on the same platforms that he need not be given VIP treatment and the case be treated as any normal patient.
