Bollywood has lost many artists in the past two years. While fans were still mourning Lata Mangeshkar’s passing, they woke up to shocking news that music icon is no more. Singer, composer Bappi Lahiri passed away today, February 16th. He was just 69. Lahiri died due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). He reportedly suffered from this medical conditions for the last one year. He was in and out of the hospital for various medical conditions over the last several months. He breathed his last at the Criticare Multispecialty Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. Popularly known as Bappi Da, or Disco King, Lahiri was instrumental in bringing the disco culture to Bollywood. His foot-tapping numbers include ‘I Am A Disco Dancer’, ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ and many others as a composer while Lahiri also sang songs like ‘Ooh La La’ and ‘Bambai Nagariya’.
