Bollywood is bracing for a marathon cinematic experience as Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ prepares to storm theatres on December 5th. Clocking in at a staggering 214 minutes, the film reportedly stretches beyond the usual boundaries of mainstream releases positioning itself alongside historical epics like ‘Jodhaa Akbar’. The censor board’s approval came with notable tweaks – violent sequences toned down, a minister’s name reshaped and sharp profanity silenced – yet the film still carries an ‘A’ certificate, Ranveer’s first in over a decade. Interestingly, even the disclaimer was expanded with a Hindi narration, nudging the runtime further. To balance the intensity, the creators have woven in fresh music and bonus footage during the credits, ensuring audiences leave the theatre with the sense of having witnessed not just a movie, but a grand spectacle.
