Farhan Akhtar announced that he has signed up to play an intense boxer in ‘Toofan’, which will be helmed by ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Unlike their previous project together, ‘Toofan’ is not a biopic. The film promises a heartfelt but fiction story of a boxer, played by Farhan. The actor is currently shooting for Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’ with Priyanka Chopra. For the boxer film, the actor will undergo extensive training and preparations. ‘Toofan’ is scheduled to go on the floors this year. The project will be produced jointly by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani under their production banner Excel Entertainment.
