Gayatri Joshi, who instantly became famous with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Swades’, met with a serious accident in Italy. Gayatri was in the car with her husband and real estate tycoon Vikas Oberoi. Vikas was at the wheel of a Ferrari when the two collided with a few vehicles moving in the same direction. According to reports, a multi-car collision took the life of a couple, but Gayatri and Vikas came out unhurt. The celebrity couple was taking part in the Sardinia Supercar Tour in Sardinia, Italy in which luxury cars parade a long distance. Gayatri won the Femina Miss India International 2000 and entered Bollywood with the 2004 release ‘Swades’. It was her first and the last film as she got married to Vikas Oberoi in 2005.
