Sunday evening, Harnaaz Sandhu won the Miss Universe 2021 title. Beauty queens Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen have won this coveted honour in the past and successfully entered the Bollywood Film Industry. Representing both the worlds, the actresses wished the newest title holder the very best in life. Lara said, “You were a strong contender throughout and was an exemplary representative for India on the world stage! Congratulations, Harnaaz! Welcome to the club!”. Sushmita, who was crowned way back in 1994, said, “Congratulations, Harnaaz! Thank you for representing India so beautifully! May you reign supreme!” Tuned in with the current affairs back home despite staying in the US, Priyanka Chopra also wished the beauty queen with, “And the new Miss Universe is… Miss India! Congratulations, Harnaaz… bringing the crown home after 21 years!” It is now expected that Bollywood offers will soon pour in for this Miss Universe.
