Shahid Kapoor returns in his rugged avatar of an alcoholic, drug-inducing character with ‘Kabir Singh’, which stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady. The film is a remake of the hit Telugu drama ‘Arjun Reddy’ and expectations are that ‘Kabir Singh’ may earn anywhere close to Rs 12-14 crore on its first day at the box office. The film has released on approximately 2,500 screens across the country. ‘Kabir Singh’ has recorded 50 percent occupancy in the early morning shows and has the potential to emerge as one of the top grossers of 2019. The film is directed by Sandeep Vanga, who also helmed the original movie when it was released in 2017.
