It is that time of the year again when the much awaited budget will be announced by the central government. While the film industry pays heavy taxes, this year once again they are hopeful of a change. Kajol expressed, “Every year people from film industry always think that this year there will definitely be something for us. Now that the government has changed, their thinking also must have changed. And they must have realized that our film industry is very big and that it is a big part of this country. They should be given enough leeway and the tax on them should be reduced.” While there is no news so far on if there is anything on the anvil for Bollywood this year, the budget will be announced at the end of this month.
