‘Kalank’ has garnered a massive collection on its first day at the box office, which is more than the expected figure. The multi-starrer raked in Rs 21.60 crore, claiming the top spot in the biggest opening day record of 2019. ‘Kalank’ has also established the biggest opening day figure for Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Ironically, the film, releasing on 4,000 screens across the country, received bad reviews from most critics. Directed by Abhishek Varman, ‘Kalank’ is made on a budget of approximately Rs 80 crore and trade buzz suggests that the film could recover the investments by the first weekend itself as it’s a five-day clear run for this Bollywood flick.
