Kangana Ranaut’s name as director on a clapboard for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ has led to speculations of the actress heading the period film. However, the ‘Queen’ star’s team shared a clarification statement, “Krish Jagarlamudi is the director of ‘Manikarnika’ and will remain so. Kangana Ranaut has stepped in to shoot just the patchwork on his behalf while he fulfills his commitments for another movie, to make sure that ‘Manikarnika’ releases on January 25, 2019. The clapboard is merely to avoid on set confusion.” Apparently, director Krish Jagarlamudi is busy with the NTR biopic which everyone is talking about in the entertainment industry of late.
