After playing a politician on the big screen, Kangana Ranaut is all set to experience the profession first hand. She has been announced as a leading national political party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh which is her hometown. Expressing her gratitude, the actress posted, “My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always had my unconditional support. Today, the national leadership of the BJP has announced me as their Lok Sabha candidate from my birthplace, Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency). I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Lok Sabha polls. I feel honored and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy ‘karyakarta’ and a reliable public servant.” Addressing the media after announcing this move Kangana said, “I am not new to challenges in life. I left home for profession at a very young age and faced many obstacles. That’s why God gave me the strength to serve my people.”
