‘Udta Punjab’ is in a huge mess with the Censor Board for Film Certification, with the Pahlaj Nihaliani led committee demanding 89 cuts in the film. While Anurag Kashyap of Phantom Films is not ready to bend to this, co-producer Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms is ready to give in to the censorship. Amidst the struggle to release the film, a lot of Bollywood celebrities have come out in support of ‘Udta Punjab’. Latest to join the bandwagon is Kay Kay Menon, who blasts the censorship rules, “I don’t like censorship. I don’t understand the logic behind it. You can take the decision of electing the government at 18, which is a far greater decision than watching a film.”
