Actor Kunal Kapoor who currently flooded with positive responses from the industry and audiences for his upcoming film ‘Veeram’ is all set to be seen in his own video game! The makers of the trilingual film which showcases Kunal as a  legendary anti-hero Chandu Chekavar, is going to launch a fighting game where Chandu, the protagonist will get a chance to fight with 3 of his opponents using his sword and  the skills of  Kalaripayattu.

According to a source, interestingly it is known that talented actor Kunal Kapoor was the brain behind this amazing idea since he wanted to promote the art of Kalari. Kalari is the oldest martial art form in the world. While all over the world there are games around Karate, Kungfu and other Kartika arts, there was nothing around Kalari which is known as the mother of all martial arts.  Kunal felt that there was a need to promote Indian Martial art forms and this video game will be a catalyst in making it known worldwide.

Talking about it Kunal Kapoor says ‘I grew up on manga comics and the world of Veeram is as fascinating and unique as any comic book. Also we grew up on so many martial arts across the world in movies and comic books, but there is so little about Kalari, which is considered the mother of all martial arts’

Well, this is not all! One hears that team also plans on coming out with a series of comic books, which will not only be about the characters from the film but also the origins of Kalari’.

Isn’t it an exciting way to promote a film? Bravo to Kunal Kapoor and team for this unique idea.
