Reports of Madhuri Dixit joining politics erupted yesterday, leading to a frenzy of fans lauding the actress’ new move. It was reported that Mads will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections of 2019 in India as a candidate of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Pune constituency. Being popular among the Marathi audience, Madhuri makes for a good candidate in the constituency. However, the Dhak Dhak girl of Bollywood has maintained a stoic silence about the development and is yet to confirm her stand. If at all she decides to make inroads into politics, the actress will join other Bollywood stars like Jaya Bachchan, Rekha, Hema Malini and Kirron Kher.
