The entire team of ‘Mission Mangal’ is elated as the Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu-starrer has breached the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office. With this, ‘Mission Mangal’ has surpassed Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which till date was taken as the highest grossing Independence Day release. Sonakshi, who plays the character of Eka Gandhi in ‘Mission Mangal’, is clearly excited, “It was an honour to play a character which represented a self-made, independent, modern Indian woman. Eka Gandhi will always remain special. Rs 200 crores for ‘Mission Mangal’ isn’t just a collection, it is an amazing feeling to know that the film has reached out to so many. Congratulations to our entire team,” as she says and also thanks the Indian space agency ISRO. The film released on August 15 and reached 200 crore on September 12.
