From the trailer of ‘Dishoom’, it seems like Pakistan is shown in a bad light, as they kidnap India’s lead batsman before an important cricket match. Defending the stance, Varun says, “There is no negative reference against Pakistan in this film or against any community. It is a very positive representation. In fact, what we are trying to show is that for certain people, money is the religion – being Indian, Pakistani, Hindu or Muslim doesn’t matter. Money is sometimes the biggest motive behind things and in today’s capitalistic day and age, I feel money is the biggest driving force for most crimes.” ‘Dishoom’ is set to release this year.
