Sara Ali Khan’s debut vehicle, ‘Kedarnath’, has landed itself in a legal soup. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is filed in Uttarakhand High Court against the film. Filed by Swami Darshan Bharti, the PIL alleges that ‘Kedarnath’ is an ‘ugly taint’ on the Hindu shrine, state reports. It also alleges that the film hurts Hindu sentiments and is an insult to Lord Kedarnath. Objection has also reportedly been raised against Sushant Singh Rajput’s portrayal of a Muslim character, which the petitioner claims is factually wrong as there are no residents of that community in the area. The legal blow comes just days before its big screen release on December 7.
