‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, featuring an ensemble cast of Karthi, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Shobita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has garnered Rs 200 crore gross worldwide in just four days of its release. Madras Talkies shared on Twitter, “Breaking barriers and conquering the globe! ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ soars high and crosses over 200 crores worldwide!” If this Mani Ratnam-directed film has indeed achieved such a feat then it beats Salman Khan-starrer ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ hands down. ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ has recorded only Rs 163.65 crore gross worldwide so far after releasing on April 21st which is over 10 days ago. As per reports, ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ collected a whopping Rs 50 crore domestically within two days of it’s premiere.
