Hrithik Roshan revealed that father Rakesh Roshan had been diagnosed with an early stage of squamous cell carcinoma (cancer) of the throat. “He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him,” revealed Hrithik as his father is prepared to go in for surgery today. Squamous cell carcinoma is a kind of throat cancer wherein there is uncontrollable growth of abnormal squamous cells that line the throat.
