The Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mardaani 2’ opened to rave reviews with good box office collections in India. While the actress plays a brave police officer in the film, Rani took inspiration from real life heroes. “I met a lot of women police officers. I spoke with them about how they face criminals and balance between family and work life. It is a very challenging job for them. We have many festivals in India and you will see that all officers are away from their family protecting people. ‘Mardaani’ is in a way a salute to the police force and such movies inspire them a lot. ‘Mardaani’ is our small effort to show the women police officers in a brave light,” says Rani. The film released on December 13.
