Those wondering what Ranveer Singh is up to post ‘83’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, here’s some good news. Fans can rejoice as their favourite star is coming back with a film directed by Shankar and produced by Dr Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. Ranveer Singh’s new film will be an adaptation of the superhit film ‘Anniyan’. The Hindi version of this Tamil blockbuster still remains untitled, but what we do know is that it will hit the floors in mid 2022. Commenting on this association Ranveer Singh says, “I am blessed to have this opportunity to be a part of the spectacular cinematic version of Shankar sir. To lead a film like ‘Anniyan’ is a dream come true for any artiste. I am ready to give this role every single ounce of my being.” The original was a psychological action thriller released in 2005.
