Despite having newcomers like Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, ‘Saiyaara’ is weaving magic when it comes to box office numbers. The film opened with a massive Rs 22 crore on July 18 and the collections only increased in the subsequent weekend. On the second day, ‘Saiyaara’ raked-in another Rs 26.25 crore with Sunday drawing further crowds. The Mohit Suri directorial collected Rs 35.75 crore on Sunday with a staggering total of Rs 84 crore in just three days of its release only in the domestic market. Combine this with its worldwide figure, and ‘Saiyaara’ has easily crossed the Rs 100-crore mark and is standing tall at Rs 117.24 crore. While making and breaking some records, ‘Saiyaara’ talks about how journalist Vaani Batra’s (Aneet Padda) partner doesn’t show-up for the court-marriage and how she falls in love with Ahaan Panday who is an aspiring singer.
