The long running tension between Salman Khan and his Panvel farmhouse neighbour Ketan Kakkad has once again surfaced in court. This time, judges in Bombay highlighted that online platforms cannot be used as a free pass to tarnish reputations. They asked Kakkad to erase his posts targeting the actor and reminded intermediaries that they must act if such content is circulated by others. Kakkad has accused Salman of harming the environment and restricting access to his land, insisting that officials ignored his complaints. The matter will be revisited on July 6th. Salman on the other hand, maintains that the videos and posts are not only false but deliberately framed to stir communal feelings. Interestingly, in an earlier round of hearings the court had pointed out that Salman had failed to establish that Kakkad’s disputed interview was even aimed at him.
