‘Bob Biswas’, starring Abhishek Bachchan, could have run into trouble had it not been for Shah Rukh Khan. The titular character of Bob Biswas, played by Abhi, is taken from the Vidya Balan starrer ‘Kahaani’. The film was produced by Jayantilal Gada of Pen Films. On the other hand, ‘Bob Biswas’ is produced by none other than SRK himself, jointly with Sujoy Ghosh. Ironically, Gada and Shah Rukh had worked together in the actor’s last film ‘Zero’ where the former was backing the film. This came in handy when Sujoy went to ask for the rights of the character and the story revolving around it, apart from the name his film. Having worked with King Khan, Gada wasted no time in parting with the rights of ‘Bob Biswas’.
