Sidharth Malhotra will be portraying Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra in the biopic titled ‘Shershaah’. The actor has been extensively shooting for the same and the makers have now announced the release date as July 3rd. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sidharth announced on social media promising to narrate an “untold true story”. The war saga is directed by Vishnu Varadhan and features Kiara Advani as the leading lady. Captain Vikram Batra led several successful mountain missions and lost his life in the battlefield. For his contribution in the Kargil war of 1999, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. ‘Shershaah’ will be packed with a lot of action and epic war scenes.
