Sonu Sood became a real life hero for many of his fans when he came rushing to help those in need during the coronavirus pandemic. Since the shoots were on hold and the actor had time on his hands, Sood monitored all the people needing assistance himself. Thanks to his many months of selfless service, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has bestowed upon him the ‘Desh Ke Mentor’ responsibility. In this programme, Sonu will mentor underprivileged students in India who require financial or any other assistance. Talking about how he feels, Sonu says, “I am truly honoured and humbled to be the brand ambassador of Desh Ke Mentor, a programme which has given me an opportunity to mentor lakhs of students across India. Thank you so much, Arvind Kejriwal sir for making me a part of this initiative.” As for films, Sonu’s next Hindi release will be ‘Prithviraj’.
