Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff-starrer ‘War’ released on the national holiday of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. Despite releasing on a weekday like Wednesday, October 2, ‘War’ collected massive Rs 53.35 crore (Rs 51.60 crore in Hindi) nett at the box office! Produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘War’ is directed by Siddharth Anand. Thanking the movie-goers, Siddharth says, “It is truly overwhelming and gratifying to get this kind of love from audiences for our hard work in making ‘War’ a truly big screen spectacle. Having two of the biggest action superstars of Indian cinema, we had immense responsibility to give audiences a never-seen-before visual experience.” ‘War’ released on about 4,000 screens and is expected to continue its winning streak over the weekend.
