With its theatrical release fast approaching on October 2nd, the final instalment of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ thriller is experiencing significant momentum at the box office, buoyed by impressive advance ticket sales. Early projections from the trade suggest the film could rake in upwards of Rs 40 crore nett domestically on its opening day alone. The advanced reservations are particularly noteworthy, having accumulated Rs 18 crore in gross bookings since the pre-sale window commenced five days before the film’s scheduled premiere.
The numbers paint a compelling picture of audience interest. Nearly five lakh tickets have been purchased across 21,281 screenings, translating to roughly 10 percent average occupancy (declining to 6 percent when block seat allocations are excluded). The gross collection stands at Rs 18.48 crore, which dips to Rs 12.21 crore once block seats are factored out. Notably, 24 screenings have already been completely sold out. The opening date itself commands the lion’s share of reservations, with Friday contributing Rs 9.72 crore – representing just over half of the cumulative pre-release earnings tracked thus far. The strategic timing of the release, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, provides an extended holiday weekend that industry analysts believe could potentially amplify the film’s box office trajectory. The remaining tracked dates account for the secondary portion of advance reservations.
