Ayushmann Khurrana began shooting for ‘Bala’ yesterday, wherein he plays a guy who is balding prematurely. Joining the film will be Yami Gautam, who will reportedly portray a super model in ‘Bala’, and also Ayushmann’s love interest. Bhumi Pednekar too is a part of the project and will play a small town educated girl in the film. ‘Bala’ will mainly explore how Ayushmann deals with the balding situation and his act will be supported by Yami and Bhumi. “‘Bala’ was a script that I instantly connected with,” says Yami. The romantic comedy is directed by Amar Kaushik, who gave the blockbuster ‘Stree’ last year. Dinesh Vijan is producing ‘Bala’, which will be extensively shot in Mumbai and Kanpur. The film is expected to hit the screens in September this year.
