Several celebrities were caught in the controversy of endorsing unsafe products. Yami Gautam, who is very popular as far as endorsements go, talks about the extent of a celebrity’s responsibility. She said, “Being a celebrity you are responsible. But only to the extent that I make sure I am not endorsing something which is harmful. We are actors and not magicians. Being an actor, it is not possible to supervise everything of the manufacturer. It is physically impractical.” The actress also laid down some important parameters for the same. Yami said, “It is important to know what the brand is and what its credibility in the market is.”
