‘Tubelight’ marked an opening of Rs 21.15 crore on its first day as the Salman Khan-starrer went on to make another Rs 21.17 crore on Saturday and 22.45 crore on Sunday. After the weekend collection of Rs 64.77 crore, all hopes were pinned on the holiday of Eid, which fell on Monday. However, Box Office collections dropped to Rs 19.09 crore on Monday, which was highly unexpected for a Salman Khan film. At the end of its four day weekend, ‘Tubelight’ stands at a total of Rs 83.86 crore. Shockingly, the film has under-performed at the ticket windows and has failed to reach the coveted Rs 100 crore mark by the end of the extended Eid weekend.
