Will Sanjay Leela Bansali play down Alia Bhatt’s character in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’? If the latest buzz is to be believed then Bhansali in all probability, will tone down Alia’s character of a drug peddler and hit man in their upcoming film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The film is inspired from acclaimed journalist Hussain Zaidi’s book Queens of Mumbai, which deals with sex workers in Mumbai’s red light area Kamathipura. Alia portrays the titular character of Gangubai in this film, who is kind of an underworld don, dealing in drug peddling and killing people for her benefit, apart from being a courtesan herself. The film will have Ajay Devgn in the male lead. The real reason to do so still remains unknown but the experts are relating this to Bhansali’s style of film making.
